My Grandma received the plant as a gift from a friend to cheer her up when she was sick. This was when she was only a teenager, so we estimate the plant is at least 70 years old. She kept the plant her whole life. Laura and I took over after she died in 2004. This year is the first year it has bloomed in a long time, certainly the first time since we've had it. So, we are very pleased to see it doing so well, and plan to continue to keep it happy and healthy.
