Given the dismal weather over the weekend, seeing Lou Holtz during some pre-ND game tailgating was definitely a highlight. I wanted to get a picture with him but decided to let the poor man get in his car before harassing him further. But clearly I wasn't beyond whipping out the Blackberry camera for a stalker photograph!Monday, September 15, 2008

Save the Date!
Just wanted to let you crazy kids know that the wedding dates have been set. Mark your calendars! Emily and Jim will be tying the knot on January 3, 2009 (in Chicago). Ryan and I will be getting married on August 29, 2009 (also, in Chicago). Both should be a fabulous time (though I don't expect to have as much "fun" as the chick pictured to the left!).Urban Living

That's right folks! Ann & Brian will be saying their goodbyes to Naper-thrill in late June! But fear not, you can still raid their fridge and use their free laundry facilities (free for you! Right, Maggie?) in their new Chicago townhouse (located in River North for you locals!) starting in late July!

May Fest
This past weekend was the annual May Fest celebration in Lincoln Square. After spending Saturday morning helping Emily move, we headed out to spend some time outside enjoying the weather and the festival. We also played some carnival games. John, Elizabeth and Maggie played competitive games and won prizes. I wanted to be sure to get a prize, so I played a game meant for 4-year olds where you were guaranteed to get a prize. (I realize this was a little ridiculous.) But I walked away with a big furry frog.

After the festival became too crowded and we had just been there too long we walked up Lincoln to a karoake bar called The Hidden Cove. I don't usually sing, but Emily talked me into it. We sang Take a Chance on Me by Abba.

For everyone who missed out - don't dismay. There will be another German festival in late September. Jeff's parents will likely be visiting us that weekend and we will be sure to go.

Mother's Day Weekend in Indiana
Jeff and I went to Fort Wayne and Richmond, IN for Mother's Day weekend.
2. Jeff got a new job. He'll be working for the Chicago Park District and starts on June 2nd.
3. Aunt Ann and Uncle Brian are moving to the city!!
4. Aunt Katy is moving to a new apartment at the end of the month.
5. Laura's playing at a bar called Sylvie's next Thursday at 8pm. I highly recommend everyone come check out Air Hearts. They also recently recorded a demo in a real studio, so we can look forward to hearing that soon.
6. Rivers can now sit up all by himself.
7. Emily is moving at the end of the month. Save up any boxes because she might need them.
I can't think of anything else right now, but please post any news you might have.
